A bridal trial isn’t just a chance to try lipstick shades.
It’s your moment to see your look come to life, meet your artist in person, and make sure you feel confident, not just pretty, on your big day.
So what actually happens at a trial? Let’s walk through it step by step.
1. You’ll chat about your wedding, vision and inspiration
Your artist will ask questions like:
What’s your dress style?
What do you not want?
Are you wearing a veil or accessories?
What’s the vibe of your day - relaxed, classic, glam?
Don’t worry if you’re not sure yet. A good artist helps you explore what suits you.
💡 Top tip: Upload inspiration pics to your client portal ahead of time so they’re ready to review.
2. Your artist will create a hair and/or makeup look based on your chat
This is a full trial run, not just a quick demo. You’ll see the full look and how it wears throughout the day.
You can:
Try a bold lip vs a soft one
Test curls vs an updo
See how your skin reacts to products
Make changes if something doesn’t feel right
3. You’ll give feedback and refine the plan
This is your chance to say, “Can we soften that a bit?” or “I love this but want more volume.”
Your artist will take notes and photos, so they know exactly what to recreate on the day.
💡 Top tip: Wear a white or ivory top to help visualise the full bridal look.
4. You’ll leave feeling reassured and excited
You’ll walk away knowing:
You’re in expert hands
You’ve got a plan
You’re going to feel like the best version of you
